Water leaks can cause devastating damage to properties if they’re not caught in time. They could compromise the structural integrity of your home and, if your building is older, you’re especially at risk.
When it comes to water leaks, good things don’t come to those who wait. Infrared water leak detection is an accurate, inexpensive way to proactively monitor the health of your home, building, or factory.
Don’t waste your time feeling for moisture accumulation, pulling up floorboards, or following the stains left by leaks in your roof, ceiling or walls. It’s not going to work, and the problem is only going to get worse.
But how do you even start looking for a ‘maybe’? You want to catch leaks before they get worse, but if you can’t see them, and if they’re not causing any visible damage yet, what options do you have?
Our qualified technicians, equipped with advanced infrared water leak detectors, solve that problem for you. Innovative infrared technology, combined with our years of experience in the field, means that we’ll locate any leaks quickly and accurately so that disaster doesn’t strike your home.
Leaks leave irreversible damage with unsightly water stains and mold, and they can even affect the core integrity of your load-bearing walls, roof and foundations. Even a relatively minor leak from an old pipe can ruin carpets, ceilings and hardwood flooring resulting in costly fixes.
Whether you have a flat roof with a leak, mold growing on your ceiling, or cracked pipes that have started leaking and causing damp patches in the basement, you need to take urgent action.
Before you start drilling into your walls or worrying about the damage that water could be doing to your foundations, give our team a call for a non-destructive, pro-active water leak detection solution.
Infrared cameras detect water leaks due to the temperature difference between a moist area inside the wall or underground and the surrounding area. The accuracy of thermal cameras means that even small changes are visible on the imaging. When interpreted by an experienced thermographer, you will get reliable information about the origin of the leak.
Infrared scanners (also called infrared cameras) are the most commonly used devices for water leak detection underground because you are able to scan an area without pulling up the flooring or digging. They are effective provided that the pipe is reasonably close to the surface and can accurately locate water pipes under most flooring types.
Infrared cameras for water leaks detect differences between wet and dry areas in the wall, making it possible to uncover hidden leaks and find the exact location where repairs need to take place.
Infrared leak detection accuracy is high when conducted by a certified thermographer. The technician is able to detect even minimal amounts of infrared radiation (heat energy) emitted by your pipes in the walls and under flooring using an infrared camera to produce live thermograms of the area. In most cases, the area around the source of the leak will have lower levels of infrared, which the thermographer will immediately be able to spot on the thermogram.
With years of experience and an exemplary track record, our certified thermographers service the greater Toronto area and neighbouring cities, including Newmarket, Mississauga and Vaughan in Ontario.
We work with residential and commercial properties, conducting building inspection thermal imaging, thermal energy audits and infrared thermography inspections.
Thermographic inspections evaluate the temperature profiles of a residential or commercial building to diagnose for predictive maintenance.
We offer infrared home inspection and thermographic inspections for commercial properties.
